One of my favourite Newjacking is the Oreo Superbowl Blackout Tweet
Look how many links it got from Wired Slate Cnet Mashable Adage Business Insider PRDaily Buzzfeed Huffington Post Forbes and even Matt McGee from Marketingland
I could go on of course to include Fastcompany ABC News The Drum MSN but I wont
Now I know what you are thinking, “How is a Tweet of mine going to compete with that?”
It doesn’t need to, it simply has to do more than your competition is doing. This kind of marketing is tricky though, you have to find the right story, you have to have the resources to react quickly.
Also, I know a few people who can help you out. Firstly I have the solution to what news is good news to Newsjack to. I am starting an email alert service that will give you heads up on breaking news that is worthy of hopping on board of. It’s going to launch very soon and will be a bit cheaper than my £200 a month Linkbait Coaching program.
You can get advanced notification by signing up for the email list here.
Also, I have a bunch of very hungry creative content experts, some of whom have been doing work for me, some help out on Linkbait Coaching and others are just brilliant. They will be adding their ideas to the Newsjacking list with their full contact details.
So if you see an idea that is right for you and need it implemented ASAP, the person is already there with a plan, and who knows where that will lead.
But mostly these topical content ideas will juice you up enough to create your own killer content and enable you to be an even better content marketer.
I will let you know as soon as it is live.
